This is one of my favorite comfort foods. My mom used to make this growing up, and it’s a meal that her parents used to make a lot during the Great Depression. It’s CHEAP and it’s EASY! And as a tired momma, I love that.
INGREDIENTS
2 large cans stewed tomatoes
1 bag of macaroni noodles
Butter, salt and pepper to taste
1-2 cups water
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Dump both cans of tomatoes into a large pot. Add 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil
2. Add macaroni. If there is not enough liquid to cover the noodles, add just enough to cover them all. Boil until noodles are done.
3. Serve with butter, salt and pepper. Enjoy!
